ALEX BOOKER

Alex Booker is a leading woodcut-relief print artist, based in the Limehouse Arts Foundation, where he runs the Booker Print House. His work explores the properties of ink and wood, with his studio practice involving his fascination for historical narrative, found imagery and the natural world.  Trained at the University of Brighton and Camberwell College of Arts, Alex has exhibited his print artworks internationally, notably at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition and at art and design events, including London Design Festival. As well as producing artworks, Alex runs regular woodcut printing workshops in his studio, offering a hands-on introduction into one of our most ancient forms of image-making.
